If you were at the Inaugural CCB, then you kinda know how this is gonna work. There are a few changes so read everything carefully.

This is a 3 part tournament. Qualifying, round robin, and double elim tourny.

Part 1 – Qualifying
After you’ve shown up and warmed up for a while, each player will throw an 8 framed qualifier. This will give you a score that will put you on the list of players ranking from highest to lowest. One change this year is that the top qualifiers will be paid a lot more than last year. I will get into that shortly. If another player feels like someone sandbagged in qualifying, the person that was thought to be sandbaggin, will be put into the group that the majority feels is correct. Every player has a bad round, I understand that. It happened in August. Players will have no reason to sandbag for a good partner because the payouts for the top qualifiers is much more and 70% of the field will be B and C players. I will get into that also. After everyone has qualified and we’ve recorded all qualifiers on the list, we will use a deviation calculator to determine the number of people in each group. What this is gonna do is give more people a chance at winning some money. Lets use the Inaugural CCB for an example. We had 98 people, but lets just say 100 to make it easier to explain. We would put all 100 qualifying scores into the deviation calculator, it will give us the avg of all, plus the standard deviation. At the ICCB, the avg of everyone was about 44. The standard deviation would have been 12. So we would add 12 to 44 and ya have 56. Then minus 12 from 44 for 32. Every player that scored between 32 and 56 would be B/C players. This puts it at 35 B/C teams and 15 A/D teams. I hope that explains it some and if not, shoot me a message for more explanation. Once we’ve got all the groups figured out, we will randomly draw A players with D players, and B players with C players. This will be your partner for the remainder of the event.

Part 2 – Round Robin
Once you have your partner, you will be randomly put into a group of either 4 or 5 other teams. Your team will be assigned to a couple sets of boards on which you will throw a 4 game round robin. Your teams record will seed you into the double elimination tournament.

Part 3 – Double Elimination Tournament
Your team will be placed into a seeded bracket based on how you did in the round robin. The tournament is a single game, double elimination tournament.

Payouts (Based on 80 entrants, $20 per player)
Qualifying – 1st – $250, 2nd – $175, 3rd – $100, 4th – $60, 5th – $40
Tournament – 1st – $450, 2nd – $250, 3rd – $150, 4th – $75, 5th – $50
All these payouts will change on both sides according to turnout. In August we had 98 players, lets get more this time!!
